Of moles and men.
Mar. 1st, 2005 | 12:21 pm
Came out from lunch today to find a group of girls clustered around. Turns out there was a mole on the ground. He had crawled out of a hole nearby and fallen off a ledge onto the bricks. None of them wanted to pick him up so I did an put him back in his hole. You would not expect a mole to be fuzzy, but they have fur the texture of micro-fiber.
Best part was that when I stuck him back in his hole he turned around and sweaked at me (did a whole lot of squeeking when I picked him up too, sounds like a scratchy mouse) though I'm not shure if it was a thanks or the mole version of an explative.

Made in America, Taken to a whole new level in Japan.

A while ago there was a set of "whack something and see how far you can get it to go" flash games that came out on the internet. Well recently someone in Japan decided to put their own spin on the games. The result? Nanaca Crash.

An experiment in sleep deprivation
Feb. 28th, 2005 | 06:40 am
As I write this I'm up on the 4th floor of the Communication's facility and have not slept all night. Now my first class is at 9am in the basement of the same building. So I'm thinking that if I can get from this room down to my class without seeing daylight I'll be able to stay awake easier. May the testing commence.

Do androids dream of electric sheep?
Feb. 28th, 2005 | 05:29 am
What do you get when you take Seti at Home and combine it with fractal art? Answer: The Electric Sheep screen-saver. In a nutshell, it takes your computer and turns it into a part of a render farm to create detailed fractal movies while your away. Once a movie is completed (roughly every 15 minutes), it's loaded onto a set of servers and re-uploaded to all the clients. I'm finding myself sucked into watching this thing for several minutes instead of actually programming, of course that could be because it's 5am and I'm pretty much running on caffeine now.

First post of the journal. Decided I needed a break from my all-nighter programming assignment... I love CS, but dang do these projects take their toll.
